Sunset
G. L. O. W. ALC Lyrics

Sitting on the Express
True tears on your blue dress
But in all this mess
Nobody could care less
I read in your eyes
That you are ready to blow
Something deep inside
That you don't want us to know
But the abyss is my business

Look at me, I'm obsessed
What's your silent distress?
Give me the access
You don't need to hide
I feel you

Maybe you're just afraid of time
That is slipping through you
Maybe you're in love with someone
But you still don't know who
Maybe your life has passed too fast
Candor couldn't last, oh no
Is it me I'm talking about?
'Cause I really don't know you
In the end we carry inside
Slivers of a million lives

Train hasn't arrived yet
Digital sunset
And misty mindset
And your cheeks are still wet
You expect us to
Not even care if you fall
But do you close your eyes
When people stumble and crawl
The abyss is our business

Nobody can process
His own troubles unless
Somebody says yes
I'm right here and I
Feel it too

Maybe you heard too many lies
And you wish they were true
Maybe when he whispered goodbye
You could hear an adieu
Maybe you hate and you adore
When you should ignore, oh no
Is it me I'm talking about?
'Cause I really don't know you
In the end we carry inside
Slivers of a million lives

Maybe you're just afraid of time
That is slipping through you
Maybe you're in love with someone
But you don't know who
Maybe your life has passed too fast
Candor couldn't last, oh no
Is it me I'm talking about?
'Cause I really don't know you

In the end we carry inside
Slivers of a million lives

Overall Meaning

The song "Sunset" by ALC is an introspective piece that reflects on the theme of accountability and living with the consequences of one's actions. The opening lines depict the end of the day with sunset, and the coming of the night, with the implication that wrongdoing has been committed. The lyrics suggest that those who have acted wrongly are now waiting for their fate to catch up with them. The next line, "But now shame's met someone," implies that the person responsible for the wrongdoing has been caught and is now experiencing the full weight of their shame.

The song then moves on to sunrise, representing new beginnings and a chance for redemption. The line "Pain hides no one" suggests that the pain caused by one's actions does not discriminate and affects all parties involved. The lyrics suggest that those who have committed wrongdoing try to escape responsibility by denying their involvement, stating "You'll say 'it wasn't me'". However, the final line "Someday you'll know the one" implies that the truth will eventually be revealed and accountability will be inevitable.

Overall, "Sunset" by ALC is a contemplative piece that encourages listeners to take responsibility for their actions and be accountable for the consequences. The lyrics portray a sense of inevitability regarding accountability while also suggesting that redemption is possible through accepting responsibility and seeking to make amends.

I’ve always turned reddish after drinking
If I drink several days in a row I will be red and puffy the next day
I’ll have eye bags and feel dizzy easy the next day

My gut will be hot and I’ll feel typically crummy
Shocking though if I drink a beer the next day it makes my symptoms subside some

But it takes several days to recover fully

But I’m white, but my grandpa apparently was part American Indian and I’ve heard they got red when they drank alcohol - however I’m also prone to drinking heavily and have a high tolerance typically
So idk maybe I just shouldn’t drink

Girls... green primer/colour correction was god send! I got my makeup professionally done and the artist recommended green primer (which I thought was weird since I don't have redness in my face), a good medium/full coverage foundation with a good soothing moisturiser (my skin and makeup get splotchy and patchy). The only thing that was red was my chest where makeup wasn't covering.

"Hey man, we should go out for a drink sometime!" Those words already lay the friendship trap for me in my daily life. Choosing to drink or not drink at all should be a choice we can all make without any health-related repurcussions! While living in a dominantly drink-bonding culture, having this defect is like being defaulted to be socially excluded from your peers and colleagues. It baffles me to find out that this topic isn't well known to the public, or not well known enough! If there was some sort of vaccine that I can receive that would make me immune to turning red and hearing my own heart beating so aggressively from drinking alcohol, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Sorry for the rant. This is something I've also been struggling with throughout my life, so far, and it's been tough.

So glad you took the time to express this, because a lot of people, including ourselves, feel this way. Which is why we made this video to give any little bit of help that we can. Since this topic isn't as well known by the public as we would hope, there isn't too much available support so feel free to rant on this channel lol. Apparently there is some cutting edge medicine coming out to help people with peanut allergy... this could foreshadow science in our favor in the future, but unfortunately for now we have to stay strong.
