He released his début single "Noroma Taishou" (のろま大将) on 2009.02.15. Ooe first garnered popularity when he at the age of 17 appeared on a song parody segment of a Japanese variety show, performing his version of Saburo Kitajima's "Hakodate no Onna", which in turn led to a mini-documentary series on his quest to become Kitajima's apprentice.
