You're Gonna Miss Me
13th Floor Elevators Lyrics

Oh yeah
Ah
You're gonna wake up one morning as the sun greets the dawn
You're gonna wake up one morning as the sun greets the dawn
You're gonna look around in your mind, girl, you're gonna find that
I'm gone
You didn't realize
You didn't realize
You didn't realize
You didn't realize
You didn't realize
Oh, you're gonna miss me, baby
Oh, you're gonna miss me, baby
Oh, you're gonna miss me, child, yeah, yeah
I gave you the warning
But you never heeded it
How can you say you miss my lovin'
When you never needed it?
Yeah, yeah, ow
You're gonna wake up wonderin'
Find yourself all alone
But what's gonna stop me, baby?
I'm not comin' home
I'm not comin' home
I'm not comin' home
Oh, oh, oh, yeah
Oh, oh, oh, yeah

What came first;
Music or the misery;
People worry about kids playing with guns
or watching violent videos that some sort of culture of violence will take them over.
Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands,literally thousands of songs about heartbreak,rejection,pain,misery and loss.
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable;
Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music;

Oh yeah!
Ahh!
You're gonna wake up one morning as the sun greets the dawn.
You're gonna wake up one morning as the sun greets the dawn.
You're gonna look around in your mind, girl, you're gonna find that
I'm gone.
You didn't realize,
You didn't realize,
You didn't realize,
You didn't realize,
You didn't realize.
Oh! you're gonna miss me, baby.
Oh! you're gonna miss me, baby.
Oh! you're gonna miss me, child, yeah, yeah.
I gave you the warning,
But you never heeded it.
How can you say you miss my lovin,
When you never needed it?
Yeah! Yeah! Ow!
You're gonna wake up wonderin',
Find yourself all alone,
But what's gonna stop me, baby?
I'm not comin' home.
I'm not comin' home.
I'm not comin' home.
Oh, oh, oh, yeah!

Who is watching this video in 1966?

Lokanas

@Mr RockNRoll Note that many of the best songs (and not only from 60’s) have a crazy tendency to be damn short so you need to rewind over and over :) Can’t imagine the feeling when you had to wait for it on the radio afterwards...

Mr RockNRoll

@Lokanas I know. Ive always enjoyed this band.

Lokanas

@Mr RockNRoll If you think about it - everything best comes in limited portions. Let's enjoy the fact they at least were recorded.

Angel Dust

@Mr RockNRoll you know what man, every good thing is ending do fast you can't even enjoy it that much.
