Everyday
A$AP Rocky Feat. Rod Stewart Miguel & Mark Ronson Lyrics

Everyday I spend my time
Drinking wine, feeling fine
Waiting here to find the sign
That I can understand
Yes I am

So everyday I spend my time
Drinking wine, feeling fine
Waiting here to find the sign
That I should take it slow (Here I go!)

Off again, there he go to another dimension
My mind, body, soul imprisoned
My eye probably going ballistic but listen
I'm missing a couple of screws, they ain't never do drilling
True, you been sipping away at the truth
Through a side of wisdom ado (do-do)
Rolling through, hitting switches, rolling ditches, blowing kisses
To the bitches, holding biscuits, what's the business
Beat the system, co-defendants, blow the sentence, go to prison
Go to church and pray to father, Lord forgive us
And only God can judge me and he don't like no ugly
I look so fucking good most dykes'll fuck me buddy
Yeah I'm a piece of shit, I know I plead the fifth
I tell her holla if ya need some dick
But the devotion its getting hopeless
But hold it, I'm getting close as my soul is, I'm seeing ghosts
A solo is now a poet, hypnosis overdose on potions
Adjusting to the motions and getting out all my emotions

Everyday I spend my time
Drinking wine, feeling fine
Waiting here to find the sign
That I can understand
Yes I am

So everyday I spend my time
Drinking wine, feeling fine
Waiting here to find the sign
That I should take it slow (Here I go!)

This type of shit
Make a nigga wanna flip September through August
This type of shit got em busting off the clip
In the middle of the office
And a message to the bosses
The Misfits' new outfit is on the bloglist
Gorgeous hoes, keep the saying that they cost it
For the Porsche's get em nauseous
Plus I ain't even mad yet, niggas caught me in a good mood
Paparazzi wanna nag a nigga chillin' at the bag check
Wanna show me in my good shoes
When papa got the brand new bag, Flacko got the brand new rag
That's good news, hood dudes usually don't look like you
How I'm finna get a deal and come back and the whole hood look like you
Screaming "Pimp Squad, hold it down!"
Can't drive, bitch I'm legally blind bitch
If I leave or die, it's up to me to decide
Shit niggas copping guns like they legal to buy
The only key to survive in getting a piece of the pie
Is to agree with them a lot or just believe a facade bitch
And I'll be fine just-a drinking my wine bitch

I got the love birds chirpin' at the window
But I don't need love no more
I'll be fine, sipping wine
Taking time slow

I got the love birds chirpin' at the window
But I don't need love no more
I'll be fine, sipping wine

Everyday I spend my time
Drinking wine, feeling fine
Waiting here to find the sign
That I can understand
Yes I am

Everyday I spend my time drinking wine
Feeling fine
Waiting here to find the sign
I don't care if I ever know, where I go

I got the love birds chirpin' at the window
But I don't need love no more
I'll be fine, sipping wine
Taking time slow

I got the love birds chirpin' at the window
But I don't need love no more
I'll be fine, sipping wine
Taking time slow

nana asante

Came back a couple of years later to realise that when you grow up, you really do understand things you didn't before...
Therefore my older self is now going to attempt to decipher the meaning of the video according to multiple interpretations, AND I GOTTA ADD...I CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE REALISING THE TRACK IS EXACTLY 4:20...4.20 GUYSSS, guy is a genius.

1. The video is a storyline told backwards...
Asap kills himself at the end of the story, which is the start you see. The start of the story is Asap (the end of the video), in his ordinary life when he just chilling in the hood with his ASAP crew/friends, sharing the song he's made (Everyday) with them and just living his best life and as you can see Miguel also vibing to it, eventually leading to the final product of this song. His girl left him though because fame was surpassing their relationship despite being there before the money. In between, it shows ASAP getting incredulously high and drunk (flashing lights scene awards ceremony) and he stumbles out and passes out and seriously hurts himself (his eyes open on the ground) resulting in him getting plastic surgery because of the state he ended up in and he has all the riches and awards but is still unhappy especially with his appearance (he admires how he used to look in the cinema room scene). This lead to increased intake of drugs causing him to gain tons of weight. He does drugs (the cocaine you see at the tip of his nose and for those wondering why the nose was different, the cartilage of your nose bridge is known to wear away when inhaling drugs for a prolonged course of time) and drowns in his own swimming pool to immerse his woes.

2. ASAP JUST HIGH AS A MF KITE
Everything in the video is just Asap (at the end smoking weed) as a regular hood dude, getting high and imagining this ridiculous lifestyle of how life would be if he took the wrong pathways of fame and ended up like other artists who resorted to drugs and plastic surgery and in the end resulted in death. Asap smiles at the end almost as if to say "Nahhh I'm just tripping off this smoke"...The lowered eyebrows whilst he's smokimg can be interpreted as him watching these depressing events flash through his mind but as he blows out the smoke after getting back down from levitation, he comes back to reality and is listening to Rods original song before he turns it into a beast track by getting high and imagining that scenario (the modernised trappy hip hoppy song we on this video listening to was inspired by Asap getting high and imagining all those crazy things.)

3. The story is as you see it!
The person at the start has tried to drown himself however is unsuccessful as his housekeeper/butler whatnot, finds him and retrieves him. He is just a really rich guy trying to live his best life but the money and ecstacy is not cutting it. He gets surgery to look different and look more attractive and comes out as Asap. He becomes famous, wins awards, lives a less extreme lifestyle and finds a normal girlfriend and normal friends that he enjoys the company of. It ends in him finally being happy with the lifestyle he has got.

4. Asap just tries to avoid the super stardom, it was just too much.
We all must understand by now how tedious and tiring fame can get. Asap became fed up with the awards and the unhappiness, the pressure and needed a discreet yet extreme escape. He gets plastic surgery to become the person you see at the end and he gets away from everything else and indulges in his own charms and solidarity. Despite this, he was still extremely unhappy and resorted to death.

LET ME KNOW WHAT EXPLANATION MAKES THE MOST SENSE IN TERMS OF THE PLOT AND VIDEO TO YOU!! I personally think this is more like no. 3, but it was made to be like that to elucidate the consequences that come with fame, and following the wrong path. But I also think it's no. 1 and it's all just imagination because he's so high, as in it's ASAP before the fame, as a normal guy just smoking in his room and imagining his life like this whilst he was high since he came down from levitating, which is almost a depiction of him being in a different dimension mentally/spiritually and Rod Stewart's original song is playing on the stereo whilst this is going on and he gets the idea to make this song, which is why he smiles at the end. He makes the song (that we are listening to) gets his friends to listen to it, Miguel jumps on it, it becomes a hit, he gets awards for it, becomes famous but ends up letting fame get to his head and gets tired of it. Fakes his death and changes his identity to get away from everything and keeps getting rich and misses things the way they were as Asap, hence watching himself back. Does drugs, which is something he didn't do when he was publicly known as Asap and then remains even more unhappy and ends up killing himself. Which is really in the end a mix of 1,2,3 and 4! If this makes any sense...lol
