Greatings Fellow Earthlings,

I started in 1996 as a dj, first with techno in the heartland of the genre (Belgique), after 2 or 3 years also lots of different styles and genres such as breakbeats, electro, trip hop, funk, rock, blues, jazz and afrobeat like Fela among others. Somewhere in september 2018 somebody asked me 'do you want to play in my father's salsabar?' and I said 'why not' . The first 2 salsatracks I collected were Son Fo and Betece, which are abviously two masterpieces, and I started from there collecting Africando albums and also lots of cuban music. Around 20 october I played my first gig and now I'm still playing salsa about once a month. If there is one genre that I will keep liking it must be salsa because the best tracks all have this sincerity and passion in them and theycare played with great skills and control (as in not playing too much notes). If I die I want people to dance on my grave to this music, just in case they would get what's important, certainly not all the bad news in this 'Age of the Sharpie'.

I've put the comment here, because Mandali is usually one of the first tracks I would use when dj-ing in the beginning of a salsa dj-set, it has a destinct 'son-rumba sound' to it while at the same time the rhythm is salsa, a very usable track, it has a nice storyline in the structure. The singing is also pretty good, it doesn' get much better than this I think. Like most Africando productions a more than decent effort. Thanks for all the Africando videos by the way, I had no idea that this label had put all those marvelous pearls online.
