Canadian Sunset
Andy Williams Lyrics

Once I was alone
So lonely and then
You came, out of nowhere
Like the sun up from the hills

Cold, cold was the wind
Warm, warm were your lips
Out there, on that ski trail
Where your kiss filled me with thrills

A weekend in Canada, a change of scene
Was the most I bargained for
And then I discovered you and in your eyes
I found the love that I couldn't ignore

Down, down came the sun
Fast, fast, fast, beat my heart
I knew when the sun set
From that day, we'd never ever part

I greatly miss Andy Williams, especially on songs like Canadian Sunset. So beautiful to listen to. What a wholesome voice he had. R.I.P., great one.

Excellent The double-tracking vocals of Andy Williams, singing harmony with himself is wonderful. And the horns playing in the background are very jazzy sounding. Perfect.

I emigrated to Canada by SHIP from UK, probably the last time before air became the NORM. For some reason this song came back to me tonight. The ships orchestra played it every night till we reached the ice filled Ste.Lawrence. I was twenty seven and single and a whole new life was to begin.Good 'un Andy!

Wow. That's a long time ago, Keith. Do you still enjoy listening to Andy Williams?
