Archers of Loaf Lyrics
Stuck a pin in your backbone.
Spoke it down from there.
All I ever wanted was to be your spine.
Lost your friction and you slid for a mile.
Overdone, overdrive, overlive, override.
You're not the one who let me down,
But thanks for offering.
It's not a voice and I'm not around.
But thanks for picking it.
Up, on the radio.
Sampled your rust from a faucet, I know.
I've got a magnet in my head,
A magnet in my head.
Extra thick, extra long, the way it was wasted.
And there's a chance that things'll get weird.
Yeah, that's a possibility.
Although I didn't do anything,
No, I didn't do anything.
All I ever wanted,
All I ever wanted,
All I ever wanted was to be your spine.
[Repeat]
And a mouth kept shut and a tongue twist tie.
You're the web in front, you're the favorite lie.
You're a buck my lip, you're a lash my lie.
You're the web in front of a favorite lie.
Stuck a pin in your backbone.
Spoke it down from there.
All I ever wanted was to be your spine.
I've got a magnet in my head, a magnet in my head.
Extra thick, extra long, the way it was wasted wasted.

One of the most beautifully written songs of all time.

I've never even heard this song but it takes me back to my early teen years. That transition from the 90s to the 2000s. We will never forget that special time. The economy was great, the internet was new, everything seemed like endless possibilities. Don't forget how it felt. I know I never will. YOU'VE GOT MAIL.

I get that feeling from this (see link), from my early teen years. You won’t find it nostalgic, but may (or not) enjoy. Waving “hello” from your future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omEX35pbelI

I am 34, and I discovered this band by mistake just last week. I thought they were some new indie group I'd never heard of - in fact, I believe they came up with "Cage the Elephant". Long story short, I have discovered the most incredible band that I had never heard of!!! I can't wait to get Archers of Loaf on CD or download them!!!
