1. Arco are a British band noted for unusually slow, quiet, poetic music: a gig review in national newspaper The Guardian suggested "an hour in arco's company is the aural equivalent of a day in a flotation tank". Similarly, a review in Q, a UK monthly music magazine, described first album Coming To Terms as "the aural equivalent of a human being pausing for thought as the world speeds on around".
2. Arco (Antonio Arco) is the former singer from the Spanish band "El Puchero del Hortelano". Starting his solo career in 2016 with the release of his album "Uno", he's been doing music on his own until this day with other albums such as "Abril" (2018) and "100 Veces" (2020).
3. Formed in 2008 by Neil Luck, ARCO is a group of composers, artists and (mainly) string players from a range of musical and artistic disciplines and backgrounds. The group explores experimental approaches to non-standard notation and live performance practice as a starting point for creating bespoke, collaborative music theatre events characterised by an uncompromisingly avant-garde aesthetic, and radical mix of influences from contemporary classical music, magick rituals, concrete poetry, free improvisation, slapstick comedy, Kabuki theatre and Broadway show tunes
Diary
Arco Lyrics

Begun the day you're born
Filled with crazy writing
Up to the latest dawn
And reaching out from there
Towards the page you'd never turn
The empty days
The fate you'd still to learn
Thought life was like a diary
Begun the day you're born
But nothing this confusing
Could be so clearly drawn
And today i saw it in a different light
And my heart sank
The days to come were filled
The days gone, blank
The song "Diary" by Arco is a reflective piece centered around the metaphor of life as a diary. The opening verse establishes this metaphor by stating that life is like a diary, with every day being a new page. The lyrics express that life is filled with a mixture of good and bad experiences, represented by the "crazy writing" that fills the pages up until the present day. The second verse introduces the idea that although one may continue writing their life story, there will always be an "empty page" representing the unknown future and the "fate you'd still learn."
The chorus serves as the turning point in the song as the singer comes to a realization that life is more complicated than a simple diary. The metaphor is deconstructed as the singer understands that despite their efforts to capture life's experiences on paper, it is not something that can be easily summed up or understood. The use of the phrase "nothing this confusing could be so clearly drawn" refers to the inconsistency of life and the fact that it can't be compartmentalized or explained away so easily. The final lines express a sense of melancholy as the singer acknowledges that the days to come will be filled, while the days that have passed are now blank.

Thought life was like a diary
Life was expected to be like a diary
Begun the day you're born
Starting from the day one is born
Filled with crazy writing
Filled with different events and emotions
Up to the latest dawn
Until the present time
And reaching out from there
And extending beyond the present
Towards the page you'd never turn
To the unanticipated future
The empty days
The uneventful periods
The fate you'd still to learn
The unknown destiny that awaits
But nothing this confusing
However, reality is not as simple
Could be so clearly drawn
It is not as easy to comprehend
And today I saw it in a different light
And now I have a new perspective
And my heart sank
And it was quite disheartening
The days to come were filled
The future seemed predicted
The days gone, blank
However, the past seemed uncertain or forgotten
