David Portner) of Animal Collective and Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir, formerly of Múm. The two began recording together in 2007 in New York City. Kristín also made a guest appearance on the Animal Collective album Feels, for which she was credited as Doctess. The couple lived together in New York City and performed a handful of intimate acoustic concerts in promotion of their only album Pullhair Rubeye. Avey Tare revealed in several interviews that he and Kristin have separated in 2010.
