Overjoyed
Bastille Lyrics

Oh I feel overjoyed
When you listen to my words
I see them sinking in
Oh I see them crawling underneath your skin

Words are all we have
We'll be talking
We'll be talking
These words are all we have
We'll be talking

And I hear you calling in the dead of night
Oh I hear you calling in the dead of night

You lean towards despair
Any given opportunity you're there
But what is there to gain?
When you're always falling off the fence that way.

Words are all we have
We'll be talking
We'll be talking
These words are all we have
We'll be talking

And I hear you calling in the dead of night
Oh I hear you calling in the dead of night
Oh I hear you calling in the dead of night
Oh I hear you calling in the dead of night

Ooh
Ooh
Ooh
Ooh

And I hear you calling in the dead of night
Oh I hear you calling in the dead of night
Oh I hear you calling in the dead of night
Oh I hear you calling in the dead of night

Ooh

Oh I feel overjoyed
When you listen to my words

Man this song hits deep right now. My friend was despairing, if you know what i mean, and wasn't listening to anything I said to try to help...it would make me feel overjoyed if they would listen to my words right about now.

Lexi the Slither-puff

This song is underappreciated

I remember back when bastille had a Spotify page that was somehow shared with another band called bastille and the had one ep that had Pompeii, Overjoyed, Haunt, and Bad Blood (I think) on it. Wow have they grown!!! Love them so much

10 comments, not including mine. I now feel the need to say something profoundly insightful.

If nothing is faster than light how did the dark get there first? I realize that dark is an absence of light, but without light there would be no darkness. See what I mean? How did the dark get anywhere without the light? If you want to answer this, I would prefer not to hear something about god, as I am not Christian. I will not be offended if you do, as I was raised a Christian, but I would like as insightful an answer as this question is.
