Un Millón de Estrellas
Bengala Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
De las montañas a la orilla
En el humo
Pies descalzos andarán
Como el fuego por la noche
Una espada
Tengo un millón de estrellas
Para darnos cuerda
Para regalarnos un mejor destino
Un nuevo camino
Donde llueven perlas
Donde reverdece todo
Así fue y así será
Tus palabras y las mías
Como el humo
Canta, dime lo que ves
Lo que sientes como acechas
A mi alma
Tengo un millón de estrellas
Para darnos cuerda
Para regalarnos un mejor destino
Un nuevo camino
Donde llueven perlas
Donde reverdece todo
Así fue y así será
The song "Un Millón de Estrellas" by Bengala seems to be discussing the cyclical nature of life and love. The lyrics suggest that things will always be as they were before and are meant to be. The opening lines, "Así fue y así será" ("As it was and as it will be"), indicate that what has happened in the past will continue to occur. The mention of "montañas" (mountains) and "orilla" (shore) suggest that this cycle occurs throughout nature.
The song then shifts to discuss individuals, specifically their journeys. The line "Pies descalzos andarán" ("Bare feet will walk") suggests someone who is on a difficult journey, navigating through life without shoes. This person is compared to "el fuego por la noche" (fire in the night) and "una espada" (a sword), perhaps indicating their strength and perseverance.
The chorus of the song reinforces the idea of a brighter future. The "milión de estrellas" (million stars) represents hope and potential, something to give oneself and others a "mejor destino" (better destiny). The last two lines of the chorus suggest that this better destiny will bring about a "nuevo camino" (new path), where "perlas" (pearls) rain down and everything "reverdece" (becomes green again).
Overall, "Un Millón de Estrellas" appears to be an optimistic song about finding hope in difficult times and navigating through the cyclical nature of life.
