In 2005, Camille released Le fil. This is a concept album, built on one note (a B) that starts at the beginning of the album and stops at its end. All the songs of the album are constructed on the voice of Camille with only one instrument (double-bass, and sometimes a keyboard).
Camille's third studio album Music Hole, released in March 2008, shows a key turn in her career: it is mostly sung in English.

Camille Lyrics

The lyrics to Camille's song La Jeune Fille Aux Cheveux Blancs depicts the yearning for freedom and escape from the constraints of societal norms. The singer is at an age where she cannot find rest, and her only dreams are about sleeping on train station platforms. She has rented a storage closet for her winter clothes, and she has murdered her parents, which suggests a metaphorical breaking away from her past and creating her own identity. The line "Je suis la jeune fille aux cheveux blancs" or "I am the young girl with white hair," brings attention to the notion of growing older before one's time or carrying wisdom beyond their years.
She is in love with someone who is distant from her and lives far away, on a volcano where love no longer exists. Despite this, she still dreams of traveling down the road where the wind blows, symbolizing the desire to let herself be free and uninhibited by societal constraints. The lyrics create an air of rebellion, independence, and self-discovery.
