It is her ambition to give Dutch popular music a more up-tempo and daring image. She started her career at the age of 11, when she asked Marianne Weber if she could sing a song with her on stage. It was her lucky night, because an prominent manager in the genre happened to be in the audience that night. Since then, she released three albums: Charlène, Zomer In Mijn Hart and Vandaag Is Mijn Dag.
