The remix album includes remixes for all of songs on the standard edition of the record, as well as of the deluxe tracks ‘Guess’ and ‘Spring breakers’, with the full unremixed deluxe edition of BRAT tacked on to the end.
Five of six previously released remixes of songs from BRAT are included in the remix album, with ‘Von dutch remix with skream and benga’ being omitted. The singer has confirmed the features as: Ariana Grande, Addison Rae, Billie Eilish, Tinashe, Lorde, Troye Sivan, A.G. Cook, Yung Lean, Bon Iver, Bb trickz, The Japanese House, Julian Casablancas, Bladee, Caroline Polachek, Robyn, Jon Hopkins, Shygirl & The 1975.
The features were announced through billboards all over the world with the artist's name over the Brat remix cover theme.
The album was first speculated to be in the works due to the magnitude of remixes being released and teased for the album. These rumors then came to a head when Charli XCX posted a video to social media of her and Troye Sivan singing along to a then unreleased remix of ‘Talk talk’.
On Wednesday, the 11th of September, Charli announced the remix 'Talk talk featuring troye sivan' would be coming out the next day. Upon the release of the track, Charli announced the remix album with a picture of the cover; the infamous brat style, with the title flipped and put onto the right side of the screen.
Charli then made the album available for pre-order on CD and Cassette, with a 3-LP vinyl pressing including the remix album and the deluxe album being put up for pre-order on the 17th.
On the 13th of October, 2 days after the initial album release, two trucks in Phoenix and Los Angeles were spotted saying “Spring breakers featuring kesha tomorrow”. Charli then reposted pictures of the trucks on Instagram confirming the release. The spring breakers remix with kesha would then release the next day and be added on to the album.
