Politik
Coldplay Lyrics

Look at earth from outer space
Everyone must find a place
Give me time and give me space
Give me real don't give me fake
Give me strength reserve control
Give me heart and give me soul
Give me time give us a kiss
Tell me your own politik

And open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes

Give me one, 'cause one is best
In confusion, confidence
Give me peace of mind and trust
Don't forget the rest of us
Give me strength reserve control
Give me heart and give me soul
Wounds that heal and cracks that fix
Tell me all your politik

And open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Just open up your eyes

But give me love over, love over, love over this, ah
And give me love over, love over, love over this, ah

I think all the albums are great in their own way. There's no "old Coldplay" or "new Coldplay". It's just that they need to try new sounds to grow as a band.

Parachutes was an amazing debut album, it's what you can listen to on a rainy day and just relax.

A Rush of Blood to the Head is, in the opinion of many, an extremely strong rock album, it's a strong statement and there are very few flaws.

X & Y is either loved or hated. They were thinking big, but some of the songs just kind of fade together. With that said, it does deliver several strong tracks like: Talk, Fix You and Till Kingdom Come.

Viva la Vida, in my opinion, is one of the greatest, most forward thinking albums ever created. After X & Y received extremely mixed reviews, the band went back to the drawing board and decided to create something completely new. No ground was left uncovered and no stone was left unturned. While they tried a bunch of different sounds, it doesn't seem all over the place. All the tracks come together to form a sense of completeness, creating one of the most satisfying albums of all time.

Mylo Xyloto, like X & Y, received extremely mixed reviews. The creative juices of Viva la Vida continued to flow, but they tried to do two completely different things: experiment with a new sound and please the masses. The final result wasn't bad, but lots of the catchy, sometimes electric sounds, could have been better if there were less cliche lyrics. Even though they produced a couple mega-hit-singles, it was not their best work.

Ghost Stories is set to be released in May and is expected to contain sounds similar to AROBTTH.

Imagine it’s 2002 and you just bought this album after listening to Parachutes, and the first thing you hear is this.

Unfortunately I was a fetus back then. But yeah, hell of a good opening for the album

I was that person in 2002, this opener song was quite a leap from their first record. Had an inkling before I researched into it they were releasing inner anger or hurt.

Then I discovered they'd written this song on 9/11. It all came together.

This song helped me through that period and beyond, it was awkward being an American at that time but I appreciated that others cared like Coldplay did. Sadly I never got to see them on that tour, I would've loved to however they weren't touring in my state and I didn't have the money at the time to have attended.

'ARoBttH' is still my second favorite album from their discography with 'Viva La Vida' topping it. It might change one day, I'm continuing to appreciate their new songs and records however Coldplay's older work I have a bias towards because these songs helped me in various times in my life as a teen and I can't help but feel gratitude for albums 1st though 4th.
