Sever
Delain Lyrics
Things that I thought I had put far behind
Find the mind, connect to sever
I felt deeply how my feelings combined
That it's like they'll never sever
In a way I started today
To weave guirlands for the grave
It will break me till my knees bend
It will leave me with nothing in the end
In a blatant mind, my thoughts have entwined
But if you feel the real they will divide
From beyond within, the heart plays its part
The real and fake forever sever

My God, Charlotte's beautiful voice and the band's melodic/touching music really create a unique rhythm that touches you in a way that is undescribable. I wish America had exquisite music like this.

Both of Delain's albums are a work of art. They combine metal with a tender elegance that touches your heart. :)

This is good... this is very good. I'm a huge Within Temptation fan, so this stuff is like crack to me.

That chorus is just hypnotizing. I still listen to this album, and this is one of those tracks I could listen to all day.

This song took years to grow on me. It wasn't untill I bought The Human Contradiction and heard it again on there, that I realised how awesome Sever actually is.

Me too! :D

There are so many great symphonic bands, each with its own special sound. Delain, Epica, Within Temptation, Whyzdom, Gwyllion, After Forever, Edenbridge, Nightwish, Krypteria, Stream of Passion, Royal Hunt (one with a male vocalist, even... and one hell of a vocalist at that)... My favorites seem to shift week by week, but I love all these bands. If anyone disagrees, that's okay with me. It's all personal taste--there is no right or wrong.

This is such a beautiful song... Why doesn't it have millions of views?

God this is an amazing band.. a hidden jewel

This is Delain's most Gothic Metal song - whilst other's of theirs have those elements - that's really what my interest in them has always been.
