I Wonder Why
Dion & The Belmonts Lyrics

(Don, don, don, don-don, don, don-don)
(Do-do-do-do-don, don)
(Don-don, don, do-do-do-do-do)
Don't know why I love you like I do
(Don, don-don, don)
Don't know why I do
(Do-do)

Don't know why I love you
Don't know why I care
I just want your love to share (don, don-don, don, do-da)

I wonder why, I love you like I do (don, don-don, don, do-da)
Is it because I think you love me too (da-da-da, don, don, do-da)
I wonder why, I love you like I do
Like I do (dan, dan, dan, dan, dan, da-dan)
(Da-da-da-da-dan, dan, dan, da-da-da-dan)

Oh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Ooh-ooh-oh-ooh
Ah
Wap
Wap
Wap, wap, wap, wap, wap

I told my friends that we would never part (da-da-da, don, don, do-da)
They often said that you would break my heart (don, don-don, don, do-da)
I wonder why they think that we will part
We will part

Da, da, da, don, da, da, da
Da, Pa, ah, pa, ah
Dero, dero, pa
Duru, pa
Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da
Pa, pa, pa, ah
Wap
Wap
Wap, wap, wap, wap, wap

When you're with me, I'm sure you're always true (da-da-da, don, don, do-da)
When I'm away, I wonder what you do (don, don-don, don, do-da)
I wonder why I'm sure you're always true
Always true

Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da
Don't know why I do
Oh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Oh
Oh-oh-oh

This song reminds me of my dad. Saturday morning hearing this song when he is working on his car and seeing his beer on top of his tool box. Brings me back when I was a little boy. RIP I will always miss you. Thank you for being such a great father and best friend.

@Onmycaballo Don't judge. I often worked a midnight shift. Would get home at 8am. Cut the lawn, do yardwork. Then I'd put the radio on, crack a beer and work on my old truck. Even better if my son was off school, so we could hang out together. If there was nothing to be done at home, we'd head to the lake until noon, then I'd come home and go to bed. When you work nights your morning is your evening. The most important thing was spending the time together, and the memories.

Oh man, awesome memory. Thanks for sharing it. You can bet that it made your dad happier than anything that you were there hanging out, and helping him with the car. Even though you were probably bugging him at the same time, lol. That's how I got my own son hooked on Buddy Holly.

my pops always drove old hotrods and classics from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and when I was a young lad back in the 80s it was nothing but doo wop being played in the tape decks of his cars&trucks. Now I'm 45, own a couple hotrods myself, and guess what? Nothing but doo wop gets played in the tape decks..

Reminds me of my father, too.
