Heavily influenced by American rock & roll, Mitchell (who went solo in 1963) has often recorded outside France, at first in London, but later in Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee. Guitarist Jimmy Page and drummer Bob Graham were among the British session musicians who regularly supported him in London.

Happy Birthday Rock'N'Roll
Eddy Mitchell Lyrics
Ah Ah Ah Happy birthday rock'n'roll
Ah Ah Ah Hello ! Quoi d'neuf, quoi de nouveau ?
Vingt ans sur le même bateau...
Ah Ah Ah Happy birthday Happy birthday
Rock'n'roll
J'échangerai tous mes disques d'or
(ah !) De commercialiser
Ah Ah Ah Happy birthday rock'n'roll
Ah Ah Ah Hello ! Quoi d'neuf, quoi de nouveau ?
Vingt ans sur le même bateau
Ah Ah Ah Happy birthday Happy birthday
Rock'n'roll
