"In The Last Waking Moments..." features Special Guests... Steve Hogarth. Steve Rothery, Ian Mosley and Mark Kelly from Marillion as well as Former Fish Lead Guitarist Robin Boult and Andy Ditchfield from DeeExpus. "In The Last Waking Moments..." is a 72 minute concept album about someone who is experiencing a surreal and bizarre happening and is trying to comprehend whether it is all reality... or a descent into madness.
Edison's Children came together in 2006 when Eric Blackwood was on stage prior to Marillion's soundcheck in D.C., helping to "tweak" an issue with Steve Rothery's guitar. Pete Trewavas came out from backstage to see Eric playing his song... "Stranger In A Foreign Land". Pete jumped onstage and joined Eric playing along on Steve Hogarth's keyboard. Afterwards, he mentioned that they should get together and do a project some day. It took 5 years to complete, but Edison's Children's new album "In The Last Waking Moments is considered to be one of the strongest rock albums to come out in 2011.
The album was written and written around Pete Trewavas' tour schedule with Marillion and Transatlantic.
