Their self-titled album Embrace was released on 28 April 2014, hitting #5 in the UK charts.
It was created with a goal to outdo their debut studio album, The Good Will Out, and features a return to the sound of the band's past releases, Out of Nothing and This New Day.
On this album, the band draws influences from post-punk bands from the 70s and 80s, with electronic instruments and sounds and further influences from hard rock music. With the process making of the album lasting a total of three years of writing and another three years in production, Embrace was recorded at Richard McNamara's self-built Magnetic North Studios in Halifax, England.
The album was lightly promoted by the band and label in the lead-up to its release, with the launch being accompanied by a limited theatrical run of the band's live film Magnetic North. The album's release cycle is reminiscent of the release cycle of The Good Will Out, with full-length extended plays and singles with multiple tracks being released in promotion of the album, a release cycle strategy which would otherwise be an unusual in the digital age of music.

Embrace is the only release and studio album from post-hardcore band Embrace. It was released in 1987. Dischord Records number 24 was compiled from the only two studio sessions the band recorded. The first eleven tracks were laid down in November 1985, and the other three were done in February 1986. All of the songs were recorded at Inner Ear Studios and featured the same lineup.
Originally released on cassette tape and vinyl, it was released on CD in 1992 as Dischord number 24CD. In May 2002, the CD was re-mastered with two extra tracks, previously unreleased Money (alternative version) and Dance of Days (alternative version) taken from the second recording session.
