Like its predecessor, the Losing Touch EP, it was written, recorded and produced by members Isaac Howlett and Adam Relf in Relf's bedroom studio in North London with original artwork by Relf.
The initial plan was to release two singles from the EP - title track and EP opener Throwing Stones and third track, Holding On. However, after an instrumental version of second EP track Here Is The Place was featured in a video shown at the UN by The Climate Change Reality Project (published on YouTube 22nd September 2014), Stars & Letters opted to also release it as a single.
Title track Throwing Stones premièred 29th September 2014 on the website of award-winning UK music and fashion magazine, Clash, who described it as "gorgeous, gorgeous, sumptuous future pop". Second single Here Is The Place premièred on the blog of South Californian Independent radio station, KCRW. KCRW described Here is the Place as swooning "ecstatically between the nostalgic and immediate".
Final single Holding On is due to première 17th November, 2014 on Idolator. The EP will stream in full on an as yet unannounced website for the final week before release.
