Yes, nothing to do with anything else other than they deliver and deliver great takes, because they are highly skilled. Katie Kasoon is amazing with her vocals. She took on to be a session vocalist, because she can deliver. These YouTube vocalists would do great if they want to. These YouTube guitarists too can be great session musicians, because they can deliver amazing performances. If they want to and get the support to start their own bands and shine the word authenticity with their instruments like slow hands 👐himself, they too can. I think you should look deep and change your outlook on session musicians if you think to say calling Nathan East a session musician is insulting. He is being a session musician and he delivers.

She’s been in hospital well I’ve lost count how many times now, rehab.. walked out, been homeless.. lost half her stomach it’s heartbreaking watching someone live to “die” she lost her best friend to cancer was raped around the same time and broke down aged around 35, she didn’t even smoke up till then!!
I’m glad you pulled through!! Congrats on sobriety 🙏🫶 I bet your family are so pleased to have you back. That’s what bugs me about my sister she has her family loads have none..

The song “Layla”, in particular the piano coda section, was a Rita Coolidge piece called “Time”. The song has been claimed by singer Rita Coolidge that she wrote the track a year earlier! Her boyfriend at the time was drummer Jim Gordon. Rita and Jim both played with ‘Delaney & Bonnie’, and went to England to play on the upcoming Eric Clapton LP. s Rita explains above, she played the song for Eric (which was originally called “Time”) in front of all the musicians in the band. She said he liked it but didn’t appear to take any action on it. A year or so later, she heard the track while at A & M records and knew it was her music. She was surprised to find out that the piano section piece was now an ‘Eric Clapton’ song called ‘Layla’. She was never able to reach Eric about it, and Eric’s manager Bob Stigwood has denied all claims.

The song appeared on the album “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” and went on to be a huge hit for Eric Clapton and his group, Derek and the Dominoes.

Jim Gordon received a songwriting credit for it. Rita Coolidge never has been acknowledged as the original songwriter, nor has Eric or Jim spoken about it or compensated her in any way. Jim Gordon and Rita Coolidge broke up while on tour with Joe Cocker in the early Seventies. Gordon supposedly severely beat up Coolidge in a hotel hallway. Unfortunately, things continued to get worst for Jim Gordon. Eventually he was charged with murdering his own mother in the early Eighties! It was then that he was officially diagnosed with acute schizophrenia. He is serving a life sentence at the California Medical Center in Vacaville, Ca.

This happens to me everyday, that’s why I’m here, my dad played all sorts of music when I was growing up, from Eric Clapton to Rave music, so just takes a few notes to put into my head then I need to go searching, the way of music is insane!!!

There will never be a song that encapsulates the feeling of unrequited/unobtainable love like this one. An absolute masterpiece and classic, from the despairing wails calling Layla’s name to the beautiful piano piece that feels sweet and melancholic. Huge mixture of emotions packed into 8 minutes.

Heard of, read of, but never listened to this song before. Words and tune not special at all. Only guitar playing is what impresses me. Not at all a patch on 'Wonderful Tonight'...now that is a truly timeless and unforgettable song.
