American Heart
Faith Hill Lyrics
It beats like a drum down in New Orleans
Sings like a Motown melody
It dreams like California
Bigger than a Texas sky
It bleeds, it scorns, but it shines when times get hard
You can't break an American heart
She's up before the sun, on the run
Another dollar another day another cup of coffee
Thank you Lord
For giving me one more
She still leans on her dreams but it seems
Sometimes she's the only one who still believes that life is hard
So she takes it on with an American heart

I was born to a poor domestic girl in Santiago, Chile 28 years ago. I was lucky enough to be adopted by two wonderful American parents who gave me a life full of opportunity. They taught me to be grateful, kind, and compassionate to all people; especially to those who have been less fortune. They always said: to whom much is given, much is expected. I am proud to say that I have an American heart.

I fell in love with the song the first time I saw the video. I'm sure, the lyrics can touch every American heart. It's true that there is something beautiful in an American heart. The whole world look up to an American heart. There might have been a divine purpose why God created America. One thing is certain, America was created to lead the free world with a big heart. America is not perfect but this is a place where we could truly define the true freedom. It is a true bastion of democracy. America is a country of many nations where people can breath free. Without an American heart, the world will be in shambles. For those people who think otherwise, try to dig an American heart. It's not hard to find, God Bless Americans.
