The album is nastier, harder, heavier, and more biting than ever before. Gallows are: Frank Carter (vocals), Stephen Carter (guitar), Laurent Barnard (guitar), Stuart Gili-Ross (bass) and Lee Barratt (drums). 'Grey Britain' was produced by Garth Richardson (Biffy Clyro, Rise Against, Rage Against The Machine) at London's RAK Studios, alongside a 33-piece string section recorded at Air Studios, and piano pieces at Abbey Road. Guests on the record include members of Biffy Clyro, Rolo Tomassi, and Cancer Bats.
