The playing is tight and focused. The 13+ minute cut of Red House alternately whispers and soars. The entire solo is subtly nuanced and shows Hendrix' seamless playing to its greatest advantage.
It is a great shame that this album ever went out of print. It is probably (excepting Electric Lady Land) the best work the Experience ever did. It is at once raucous and subtle and in retrospect, poignant.
