Some of these tunes, like "Angel" and "Ezy Rider," have become well-known pieces in the Hendrix canon, but they sit alongside lesser-known gems like "Night Bird Flying" and the Dylanesque "My Friend." Cry of Love as an album has been rendered as a footnote, since the Hendrix estate has recompiled, to Hendrix's specifications, First Rays of the New Rising Sun. This (originally) double-album set contains not only the entire Cry of Love LP, but the best studio tracks from Rainbow Bridge, War Heroes, and Crash Landing, presented in drastically improved sound.

Freedom
Jimi Hendrix Lyrics
You got my pride
Hanging out of my bed
You're messin' with my life
So I brought my lead
You even mess with my children
And you're screamin' at my wife, baby
Get off my back,
If you want to get outta here alive
Freedom,
That's what I want now
Freedom, that's what I need now
Freedom to live
Freedom, so I can give
You got my heart
Speak electric water
You got my soul
Screamin' and howlin'
You know you hook my girlfriend
You know the drugstore man
When I don't need it now
I was trying to slap it out of her head
Freedom, so I can live
Freedom, so I can give
Freedom, yeah
Freedom, that's what I need
You don't have to say that you love
If you don't mean it
You'd better believe
If you need me
Or you just want to bleed me
You'd better stick in your dagger in someone else
So I can leave
Set me free
(Yeah)
Right on, straight ahead
Stay up and straight ahead
Freedom, so I can live it
Freedom, 'cause I've got lotta to give, baby
Freedom, so I can live, freedom
(Keep on pushin', straight ahead)

Imagine if this man would have lived 50 more years. Imagine the just absolutely mesmerizing albums this man would have produced. His existence has inspired millions and completely defined a decade. Hands down the best guitar player in the world.

Seriously can you even begin to think about what amazing albums he’d make in the 70s. Probably stuff that was even better than his 60s work. It’s a shame

@Young Fly there's no actual evidence that hints towards jimi doing drugs he's been seen taking drugs once and that same night he walked off stage because he got sick

I think the same sometimes but I love jimi being forever young as his music inspires the young and old way beyond our time 💐❤️

@Muhammad Haykal i dont understand what u are saying. I said nothing about imitating or creating, and yes, i know the difference between the two. Jimi created and others imitated.
