He completed his classical studies in Italy, achieving his Piano Diploma in 1988 at the Conservatory A. Boito in Parma. In 1992 he also took a Composition Diploma at the Conservatory G. Verdi in Milan, after studying with the renowned composers Alessandro Solbiati and Gabriele Manca.
From 1989 to 1994 he attended Piano Master Courses in Lugano held by Nora Mendez Doallo; in 1992 and 1993 he was in Siena attending Film Music Courses at Accademia Chigiana, held by Ennio Morricone, where he was awarded two Soundtrack Awards.
He accomplished University studies too, and has a degree in Law as well as a degree in Ancient Litterature, both achieved at the University of Milan.
He has worked in the world of Cinema, realizing soundtracks for several short films, among which Figure di passaggio, which was awarded a prize at Bologna Short Film Festival (1996), and L’ospite, by A. Soetje and starring Moni Ovadia (1996). In 2000 he composed the soundtrack for the film Passaggio a vuoto, by Domenico Ciolfi.
He has also composed music for theatre: in 1996 he created the musical Un soffio di magia, together with Fabio Corradi and Fabio Riganti. In 2006 he wrote the music for the play Di lunedì, by Elisabetta Ferrari.
Among his other works linked to visual arts, the score for a video-art work, which was shown at Triennale di Milano.
He frequently performs as a pianist, playing, as well as his own music, classic, jazz and film music, and currently collaborates with various artists: singers, poets, writers, directors.
He has just recorded a CD, Enchanted Piano, which consists of pieces for piano he composed between 2002 and 2005, in which enthralling themes, gliding over tonality and atonality, rising like whiffs, create a dreamy and enchanted atmosphere.
