Blue
by LeAnn Rimes

Blue
Oh, so lonesome for you
Why can't you be blue over me

Blue
Oh, so lonesome for you
Tears fill my eyes till I can't see

Three o'clock in the morning
Here am I
Sittin' here so lonely
So lonesome I could cry

Blue
Oh, so lonesome for you
Why can't you be blue over me

Now that it's over
I realized
Those weak words you whispered were nothin' but lies

Blue oh, so lonesome for you
Why can't you be blue over me
Why can't you be blue over me

LeAnn Rimes- is to me- the "reincarnation"-vocally- of Patsy Cline.  I do believe that this song was written and intended for Patsy Cline originally. However, LeAnn has sung this with total perfection- down to every vocal inflection. Sheer Brilliance- Brava- LeAnn!

@Tom Swinburn She sounds about the same. I really like LeAnn, but she doesn't have the same chops as Patsy.

@Tom Swinburn Patsy Cline at 13 didn't either LOL

I don't know what Rimes sounds like today, but at 13 her voice had no timber, no depth. The voice may have matured, but at 13 she didn' hold a candle to Patsy.

Exactly how does a 13 year old sing like that?? I wish I could hit those falsetto notes like that

@Amy Kruger Patsy Cline never sang this song.

alan ray

@josh burk no Patsy Cline never recorded this song. She never even got to read the lyrics before she passed away. That's why you will NEVER find a video or audio of her singing it.

josh burk

@alan ray yes she sure as hell did
