1) Italian music artist from Vicenza.
Madame, stage name of Francesca Galeano (born on January 16, 2002, in Creazzo), debuted in the music world at just 16 years old, releasing the single "Anna." Madame's style is different from the usual; hers is an urban music that focuses on melody, with refined and meticulously crafted writing. With rebellious curls and a doll-like face, the very young rapper has a passionate love for Dante, which can also be discovered by reading her lyrics, where she blends poetry and rap, playing with accents and pronunciations, using metaphors and sophisticated assonances.
2) Polish new wave band, active in 1984-1986.
Started in 1984, in Warsaw by Robert Gawliński (vocals) and Jacek Perkowski "Perkoz" (guitar, later in T.Love), Krzysztof Dominik (drums and percussion, later manager of Hey) and Piotr Jóźwik (bass). Other musicians who played in the band: Robert Sadowski (guitar), Leszek Biolik (bass, later Republika), Tomasz Jaworski "Kciuk" (bass, later Tadeusz Nalepa's band) and Sławomir Słowiński (drums).
First important concert took place in 1984 at the Jarocin festival. They were also playing at Rockowisko ’84 in Łódź and Rock Arena ’85 in Poznań. In 1985 they alsoplayed at Rock Opole. Their only album was recorded live in 1986 in "Remont" in Warsaw (Gawliński, Sadowski, Kciuk, Słociński). The album „Koncert” was released after 13 years because the tapes were lost. The album has a very cold feeling. „Koncert” was the groups last gig. The musicians of Madame worked together in 1998 on Gawliński's solo album „X”. The group was shown in a documentary „My Blood Your Blood” by BBC, a movie about polish rock.
3) Quebecois band.
Founded in Alma at the end of 1982 around Michel Gatignol, Jacques Marchand, and Roger Boudreau, Madame established itself in Montreal the following year and reached the final of the contest "L'empire des futures stars" organized by the radio station CKOI-MF. After recruiting three other musicians, Madame attracted attention at the RIDEAU emerging talent show in May 1985. The song "On veut pas payer" performed well in the charts, leading to the release of a debut album and a tour of Quebec.
Madame won the Félix for Francophone group of the year at the 1986 ADISQ Gala. Then Boudreau, Gatignol, and Marchand continued the adventure as a trio and released the album "Eldorado" in 1987, which achieved some success with the songs "Propriétaire" and "Tous les jours" and once again earned them the Félix for Francophone group of the year in 1988.
Musique Plus aired a concert in 1990 that the group had recently performed at Club Soda in Montreal. The album "Wéké!", released in 1991, presents a more rock facet of the group, which participated that year in the Francofolies de Montréal, then in those of La Rochelle in the summer of 1992. After the release of "Le beau pays" in 1994, Madame embarked on a one-year tour before undergoing a reassessment that led to Jacques Marchand's departure. After being chosen to interpret an adaptation of the song "Mini, mini, mini" for a car commercial, the new duo released "Madame chante Dutronc" in the fall of 1997, an album of songs mainly dedicated to the 1960s repertoire of the French singer.
