No meu termômetro o meu quilate
Vem, cara, me retrate
Não é impossível
Eu não sou difícil de ler
Faça sua parte
Eu sou daqui, eu não sou de Marte
Vem, cara, me repara
Não vê, 'tá na cara
Eu sou porta-bandeira de mim
Só não se perca ao entrar
No meu infinito particular
Em alguns instantes
Sou pequenina e também gigante
Vem, cara, se declara
O mundo é portátil
Pra quem não tem nada a esconder
Olha minha cara
É só mistério, não tem segredo
Vem cá, não tenha medo
A água é potável
Daqui você pode beber
Só não se perca ao entrar
No meu infinito particular
Eis o melhor e o pior de mim
No meu termômetro o meu quilate
Vem, cara, me retrate
Não é impossível
Eu não sou difícil de ler
Faça sua parte
Eu sou daqui, eu não sou de Marte
Vem, cara, me repara
Não vê, 'tá na cara
Eu sou porta-bandeira de mim
Só não se perca ao entrar
No meu infinito particular
Em alguns instantes
Sou pequenina e também gigante
Vem, cara, se declara
O mundo é portátil
Pra quem não tem nada a esconder
Olha minha cara
É só mistério, não tem segredo
Vem cá, não tenha medo
A água é potável
Daqui você pode beber
Só não se perca ao entrar
No meu infinito particular
No meu infinito particular
No meu infinito particular
No meu infinito particular
Marisa Monte's song Infinito Particular is a declaration of her own identity, as she invites someone to explore her world. In the first verse, she states that she contains both the best and the worst parts of herself, and invites the listener to see her for who she truly is. She presents herself as open and easy to understand, and asks the other person to do their part in getting to know her. She insists that she is not difficult to read and that she is from this world, not an inaccessible planet like Mars.
Throughout the song, Marisa makes it clear that she is comfortable with who she is, and she is willing to share herself with others. She uses the metaphor of a flag bearer to describe herself, meaning that she is a representation of herself and is proud to show others who she is. She acknowledges that she can be both small and large, meaning that she can be vulnerable at times, but also strong and powerful.
In the chorus, she urges the other person not to get lost in her own personal infinity, which may be overwhelming at times. However, she also reassures them that her world is still accessible and that the water is drinkable. In essence, Marisa's message is that we all have an infinite inner world that we should be proud to show, and that we shouldn't be afraid to share that world with others who are willing to see us for who we truly are.
