Dear Santa
Mr. Little Jeans (born Monica Birkenes) is a Norwegian born singer-songwriter based in London, England. Birkenes grew up in rural Grimstad, daughter of a ship-builder and secretary who discouraged television, so she performed in the town’s family-oriented plays and musical events. At 18, she moved to London and eventually signed to Neon Gold. In 2010, Birkenes released the Rescue Song and Angel EP. Her album debut, Pocketknife, was released by Harvest in 2014 to favorable reviews. Her pseudonym comes from Kumar Pallana's character in Wes Anderson's "Rushmore."

In December I recorded a portion of this song on my phone in my grocery store as I had never heard it before. Came across that recording today and finally tracked down the song. So cute and catchy, I absolutely love it!! And I’d love it even more if next year the sails of this song catch the holiday winds, soar to the top and relegate Mariah Carey’s horrid screeching to the dustbin of dreadful Christmas songs past.
