I was in elementary school in the early 60's and remember watching this (as my Mom watched). Even though it was "adult" in nature, I still found it interesting. The New York atmosphere is still as strong today as it was then! Never fails to remind me of visiting family who lived in NY. Nothing like it! Thanks for posting!!!
Matthew Dalldorf
The entire series is now on DVD if you'd like to revisit it as an adult.
Alphonso Zorro
May be you didn't quite understand the plot meant for grown-ups.
Elle Woods
I grew up watching this show. My mom LOVED detective / police shows & so do I.( I am a " die hard " Law & Order fan 😀)
Beth Virginia Phillips
The 1961 end credits theme was the best...very moody, the lonely trumpet playing..gives you the feeling of NYC in those years, and I should know. Think a bar at 4 AM on the East Side, the clink of glasses being cleared off a table, the last customer leaving the bar keep turning out the lights. Outside is Manhattan, the most exciting city in the world in those years where everyone dressed up, sophistication was the order of the day and all of life was so good. Hearing that theme takes me back to a wonderful world gone so far away.
Mr. BLACKHAWK
Yup, nice description... Too bad New York is a 'multicultural' SEWER now!

I want your novel. Period.
Nick De La Rosa
I was 6 years old. Gave up watching TV about 6 years ago.
Tony Cevallos
What a beautiful description you give. I was only 3 in 1961 but the music takes me back to my home and my Mom watching this on our Black and White set.. Wonderful days
Pete laRosa
It seems like it was a century ago but I remember watching his program every time it came on and there were two programs at that time with my two favorite programs that was naked City and the other was route 66. I love them both. We need programs more like that today.
