Fred Tedason complexity does not always equal quality. On paper, anybody could write Breed. But nobody other than Kurt Cobain could actually think up this song. It is incredibly simple but I firmly believe nobody else could ever write this.

I was 14years old in 1994... it was the end of februrary... 4 of my friends bought tickets for a Nirvana concert in Modena, Italy, 200km from my hometown. I was the youngest of my group of friends and I skipped many days of school already, so I decided not to bother convincing my mother to give me the permission to go to the concert. I clearly remember I thought "well, no big deal I'll go to a Nirvana concert next time, when they come back". Kurt Cobain died a few weeks later.

what i like about nirvana is even when they got massively popular they stuck to what they were originally, like if you listen to loads of other bands such as guns n roses for example, they started out this amazing rock band with loads of energy and when they started playing stadiums they changed their style completely, for the better or worse is down to opinion. but even when nirvana became huge they still kept to the high energy distorted punk sounds. bloody fantastic

They really did. Seriously, before nirvana most rock bands were like Gun's roses but most weren't nearly as good as G&R. Pretty much what we call today 'hairspray-rock'. Nirvana really came along and everyone was like: wtf was that?? That was awesome!

Great song. And grunge is far from dead... Radiohead has a couple really good grunge songs and they're still active. (Their last album had no grunge, but I'm confident it'll be more "there" in their next album...)
