Supersonic
Oasis Lyrics

I need to be myself
I can't be no one else
I'm feeling supersonic, give me gin and tonic
You can have it all, but how much do you want it?
You make me laugh
Give me your autograph
Can I ride with you in your BMW?
You can sail with me in my yellow submarine

You need to find out
'Cause no one's gonna tell you what I'm on about
You need to find a way for what you wanna say
But before tomorrow

'Cause my friend said he'd take you home
He sits in a corner all alone
He lives under a waterfall
Nobody can see him
Nobody can ever hear him call
Nobody can ever hear him call

You need to be yourself
You can't be no one else
I know a girl called Elsa, she's into Alka-Seltzer
She sniffs it through a cane on a supersonic train
And she makes me laugh
I got her autograph
She done it with a doctor on a helicopter
She's sniffin' in a tissue, sellin' the Big Issue

When she finds out
No one's gonna tell her what I'm on about
You need to find a way for what you wanna say
But before tomorrow

'Cause my friend said he'd take you home
He sits in a corner all alone
He lives under a waterfall
Nobody can see him
Nobody can ever hear him call
Nobody can ever hear him call

After years of whiney shoegazing introspectives like Neds Atomic Dustbin and Verve all of a sudden there were openers like "I need to be myself, I can't be no one else) nand "Is it my imagination, or have we finally found something worth working for" and someone finally saying something positive and self-assuring. Saying go for it and fuck whoever don't like you, fuck the girl who dumped you or the job that fired you, get out there, be mad for it and take no shit of anyone.
I don't like Liam and Noel, while he used to be a god is now a moody rude old man who does still speak sense, but also a lot of shit. However, Oasis changed it all and Noel was the undisputed leader of my generation. Just sad they have become what they are now

Kanye is the GOAT

Hate that Oasis was never as huge here in America as they were in the UK. I grew up listening to Oasis because of my parents, I’m 21 now and still listen all the time

They were huge America. In uk they were gods.

@Anthony Socci they never got big here in the states like they did in the UK. They were GODS over there. Still are. The brothers had a lot of infighting and said they were better than the Beatles even. That’s (what I remember) pissed me off and did turn me off big time to hearing everything the band had done. Now looking back this band was unbelievably good. I always liked them. Just didn’t know there music was transcendent.
