That Rush would headline such a prestigious event completed an almost inconceivable journey that began more than fifty years earlier in Philadelphia, Mississippi, on April 29, 1935. Otis Rush was one of the chief architects of the 'West Side' style of Chicago blues in the fifties and sixties and has been a hugely influential figure throughout his long career. For this first appearance at the Montreux Festival he is joined on stage by fellow blues stars Eric Clapton and Luther Allison for a truly special performance featuring many of his best known tracks.
