Love Letters in the Sand
Pat Boone Lyrics

On a day like today
We passed the time away
Writing love letters in the sand

How you laughed when I cried
Each time I saw the tide
Take our love letters from the sand

You made a vow that you would ever be true
But somehow that vow meant nothing to you

Now my broken heart aches
With every wave that breaks
Over love letters in the sand

Now my broken heart aches
With every wave that breaks
Over love letters in the sand

Pat's voice was something special. He was perhaps the best Young Singer in the late fifites and sixities. I recall so many things of my teenage years when listening to this song.  Great for relaxing and enjoying.

@POWER96 Then if you have proofs, accuse him in a Court, regards.

POWER96

You are definitely delusional. He was a thief.

The Crushed Twinkie

Johnny Tillotson was my favorite of the young male soloists from this era, among many others I admired, especially
Rick Nelson, Gene Pitney, Bobby Vee, Elvis, and Brook Benton.

@Jasna Pavić Yes this song indeed brings memories to all of us who were Young then. Regards and have a nice day.

One of the best voices of the past. Pat's voice was so clear, clean, mellow and pure - with a huge range in tone. He has always been underrated. The music of that time was so wonderful with haunting melodies. I miss those songs of so long ago.
