It has been a very long time since I have come across an album that can entertain, make you smile, yet makes you think.
From the opening notes from Take a Leap, through to the infectious "We the people" rated by the Independent On Sunday as the 'happiest protest song ever heard'. Songs like 'No Me Siento Malo' that you cant stop swaying to to 'Wake Up, Rise Up', a real kick up the arse to us all.
Well done Peyoti, you have created something rare and beautiful, thank you

Like a South American Rage Against The Machine, Peyoti come firing out on all cylinders with a get-up-and-dance political uber-album that you just have to love. Pulling together their frustrations with 21st political indifference and greed, and laying them bare over the most soulful beat-filled party riffs, Peyoti are a band on a mission.
A revelation. I loved every second.

Initially I had PFP down as Manu Chao copyists (albeit done well). However, seeing them live at the Paradise Gardens festival a few weeks away has me immediately running to get a copy of this CD ASAP!! They were musically so versatile, fusing evey type of music even able to tell jokes with their music (and surely the keyboardist has a tooth for 70s cheese). Truth be told they're way to the left of Obama, with a knockout anticapitalist message which fits their incredibly diverse grooves perfectly. An essential purchase - plonk in yer basket NOW!!!
