It was produced by Phoenix themselves and Philippe Zdar (mixing and drums on "Fences"). While the band had already been enjoying a moderate underground following, this was the start of their exposure to the mainstream. The album spawned 3 successful singles: "1901", "Lisztomania" and "Lasso". The album won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album on 31 January 2010. It is Phoenix's most successful release to date.
