Pia Mia's first commercially available single, "Bubblegum Boy," was released in 2011 in collaboration with Disney actress Bella Thorne. In December of 2013, Pia Mia released her first EP, The Gift, for free. In Feburary of 2014, Pia Mia signed to Interscope Records. Pia Mia's track "Fight for You (feat. Chance the Rapper)" was featured on the soundtrack of the 2014 film Divergent.
