My Iron Lung
by Radiohead

Faith, you're driving me away
You do it everyday
You don't mean it but it hurts like hell

My brain says I'm receiving pain
A lack of oxygen from my life support
My iron lung

We're too young to fall asleep
Too cynical to speak
We are loosing it, can't you tell?

We scratch our eternal itch
Our twentieth century bitch and we are grateful for our
Iron lung

Suck, suck your teenage thumb
Toilet trained and dumb
When the power runs out we'll just hum

This this is our new song
Just like the last one
A total waste of time
My iron lung

If you're frightened
You can be frightened
You can be, it's okay

If you're frightened
You can be frightened
You can be, it's okay

Ironically My iron lung is about Radiohead's dependency on Creep to stay floating during the time. They didn't want to be a one hit wonder

The funny thing about this is that the song is about Creep and how it was the only thing keeping Radiohead alive at that time.

@flim It's four chords repeated over and over with a basic melody. My Iron Lung is the same thing but 10x creative in every other aspect. Radiohead essentially said "You like Creep? Here's Creep 2, but it's about how ignorant you are for only liking a single one of our songs." It's about the people who would show up to their concerts just to hear the one song. As I said before I think My Iron Lung is more creative simply because they use music theory that is slightly more advanced than creep, including chromaticism, textures such as Ed's part at the end with his usage of pedals, and even some modal interchange, granted creep had the last on that list.
