"At Last" to an amazed jazz audience, who gave Renee a standing ovation.
Bill Cosby, whose jazz band backed Renee quipped that “she’s only 13
and knows only one song”.
Finally, in May 2004, all elements of Renee’s career came together.
On the "Still Standing" final episode, of the second season, she performed "Summertime",
in a dream sequence, the first track on her self-titled CD "Renee Olstead",

Blue Moon
Renee Olstead Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Blue blue blue moon
You knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for
And then suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "Please adore me"
And when I looked
The moon had turned to gold
Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
And then suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "Please adore me"
And when I looked
The moon had turned to gold
Blue moon
Now I′m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Without a love of my own
Renee Olstead's song "Blue Moon" is a classic love ballad that speaks to the emptiness of a loveless life but expresses hope in finding that special someone. The lyrics are simple but heartfelt, and the emotions are palpable. The song starts off with the singer acknowledging how alone she is, with no dreams or love in her heart. However, the blue moon seems to be a witness to her loneliness, and it knows just what she is hoping for. She prays for someone to care for, and the blue moon seems to understand her needs.
The singer then sees someone she has been waiting for, and at that moment, everything changes. The blue moon turns to gold, and suddenly, she is no longer standing alone. The person who shows up is the only one she wants to hold in her arms, and she hears a whisper to adore them. This person fills her heart with joy, and she no longer feels the emptiness she felt before. The song ends by repeating the opening lines, but this time, the singer is no longer standing alone.
Overall, this song speaks to the human need for love and companionship. It highlights how difficult it can be to find that special someone, but it also expresses hope that it is possible. The blue moon in this song might represent something magical and mystical that brings two people together. It's a beautiful song that has resonated with audiences for decades.
