Roll Over Lay Down
Status Quo Lyrics

When I got home that night early one morning
Seeing the note written in ink pinned to the door
Taking a drink cool from the fridge from the table
I drank a toast you were the most the night before

Roll over lay down and let me in
Roll over it's a long way where I've been
Roll over lay down and let me in
Roll over lay down

When I get home tomorrow night after this morning
Show me the care you showed in the note the night before
Maybe I won't take a drink from the table
Reckon I'll lay me straight down the floor

Roll over lay down and let me in
Roll over it's a long way where I've been
Roll over lay down and let me in
Roll over lay down

When I get home tomorrow night after this morning
Show me the care you showed in the note the night before
Maybe I won't take a drink from the table
Reckon I'll lay me straight down the floor

Roll over lay down and let me in
Roll over it's a long way where I've been
Roll over lay down and let me in
Roll over lay down

At the end of the day this is the real Quo and this is the way they should have kept their sound.

Absolutely right

@Nicodemus1971 AC/DC really where??

Nicodemus1971

I agree...fair bit of AC/DC about their sound...pure rock and roll

Never in the history of Rock N Roll was so much owed,by so many,to so few, long live Quo.

Having grown up with this music, I can can honestly state that my youth years were never ever wasted. The Quo of the 70s was simply magnificent.

Best song they did ever, bar none. They lost their edge with the departure of John Coghlan, a true rock drummer.

My kids age 7 and 5 were headbanging to this song in the car yesterday

It was hardly 'yesterday' if you wrote this three years ago.
