Elemental
by Tears for Fears

This race is already run
Get off your horse, get on this train
" Welcome to the real world "
I said " Welcome to the real world "
Are we rushing like the wind?
Naked out and naked in
" Welcome to the free world "
I said " Welcome to the me world "
Are we rushing like the wind?
Put your lovin' arms around
Did you lose your faith in God, no?
Does your conscience always get you down?
Fall to pieces, rough and tumble
Does your conscience always get you down?
These days it's all the mind
It's Elemental
Don't say your up when your down
It's Elemental
Put your lovin' arms around
This your new year's resolution
Put your lovin' arms around
Nothing doing resolution
Put your lovin' arms around
Take another leap in the dark
With a humble heart
Do yourself some good
What did you become?
Patience, be sure
Baby, baby
These days it's all the mind
It's Elemental
Don't say your up when your down
It's Elemental

Roland's voice has ALWAYS been amazing but I feel like it sounded so much more complex and sexy starting with his "solo" stuff (Elemental and RATKOS). This song is a perfect example of his incredible voice. Love it! :)

Shamik Mehta

I couldn’t agree more with you. His work after Curt is exemplary. And have you heard his “true” solo - Tomcats Screaming Outside?? It was released on 9/11 - and sank without a trace. But it is MAGNIFICENT, and his best work, ever. Of course, Elemental and RATKOS are totally brilliant, and way better than their 80’s stuff that preceded it.

Cameron S Felton

I'd say Woman in Chains is a perfect example as well.

@nitedrive I saw an interview where he said that right before the breakup, he started writing more songs for HIMSELF and Oleta and less for Curt. There was some jealousy on Curt's part, I'm sure, that contributed to the breakup, not just Roland being a pain in his ass. The thing is although Elemental and RATKOS are amazing, the fans want to hear Songs from the big Chair and The Hurting!!. I think Roland and Curt realized that and are giving us what we want. Love them so much..
