They cite their influences as varied, from Simon and Garfunkel to the Kinks, and are often compared to the modern band Pavement. The album was highly lauded by critics for its catchy lyrics and emotionally-stirring melodies, but sadly the band's recognition and success was marginal at best. Their current status is unknown, as is whether or not they will continue to produce music together in the future.
The band's members are Tim Seely, John Low, Diarmuid Cullen, Max Perry, Joe Seely, and Eric Gardner. The sexily-bearded Tim Seely went on after The Actual Tiger untimely demise to write and release his own solo album, "Funeral Music" (2005).
Their song "End of May" was covered by Michael Bublé on the Hollywood Edition of his Crazy Love album in 2010.
