No Secrets
The Angels Lyrics

Amanda the actress waits at the station
She's drifting with nothing to do
With dilettante steps she's quick to accept
The weather and times turning screw
She lives in a tower with defences
She learned from her mother and friends
She walks like a pharaoh, dresses in day-glo
When she's in pain she pretends

That late in the night when the lights are all out
Then she slips off her stockings and shoes
She makes you her lover and lets you discover
The smiles she keeps, she keeps for you

She keeps no, she keeps no
She keeps no secrets from you

Facing the morning, wearing her shadow
She throws her dice and I-ching
Success in Japan, a rescuing man
Knows she won't change anything

'Cause late in the night when the lights are all out
Then she slips off her stockings and shoes
She makes you her lover and lets you discover
The smiles she keeps, she keeps for you

She keeps no, she keeps no
She keeps no secrets from you
She keeps no secrets from you
She keeps no secrets from you
She keeps no secrets from you

Can you please tell me what the time is?

Leanne in Adelaide

The Keystone Angels (as they were originally named) held several lunchtime concerts in our school hall at Marion High School in Adelaide back in '74 or '75.  Can you believe we only had to pay 50 cents to see them?  Best 50 cents I have ever spent!

But back in the 70's, 50 Cent was like 10 bucks now.

@Lordsod69 yes. The Romans koncerd the Germans. The Norman's the Vikings the Egyptians. We are all mixed. But I do find Australia is more like America. I found the new Zealand's are very friendly like euroupe . I'm a Aussie. That's my experience traveling the world a bit. The hills are still awesome teatree gully is very nice. In my view once doc past that was the end of the angels . It's strange I like Roy obison beautiful voice and the traveling wilburys and Elvis voice . Then I think that freedy Mercury was a amazing proformer. Did rock and orchestra. I didn't like Michael Jackson but he was a brilliant proformer and very talented. Jonny diesel was good in pubs across Australia. Still doing great work. I like rod Stewart husky voice another great proformer. All I no they can drink in Ireland. Like fish. 👍

@nector tounge Yes he had great presence; a natural performer. I know of Oakbank. I grew up in the Tea Tree Gully area. I do miss my rambles in the hills; Morialta falls, Waterfall Gully etc, The homelands are beautiful too. I was just looking at some info regarding the Kaurna people and happy to see some native names of places returning. I still have a book of those places and their original names that we got in High-School in the 80s surprisingly enough considering the general attitude back then. Our people were colonised here too.

@Lordsod69 wow what a smile world we live in. U no I find the people over there so friendly compared to the Australians we are arragant like American now. Not saying the everyday people in America are very nice to. Just people in power like everywhere in the world are like little children. Do u still live in South Australia 👍

This was an incredible time for aussie music . The pubs were rockin and then they got all these awesome bands together for concerts . I saw them all and each one had their own unique presence . Oils,Angels,Chisel,AC/DC,INXS ,Rads,Spys,Rose Tatoo the list is endless . My life is great still being able to go back to this time !

851s I hammered 80’s pub rock in between the Wiggles and Hi-5 from the time my daughter was born (‘97). She’s got kids now, and I went over to visit them, and all I could hear was Cold Chisel getting a workout, while the grandkids sang along to Khe Sanh. 💕👍

Mick C I know just how u feel .aussie rock renouned for some of the greatest iconic roc songs and seems the bands still found them selfs to be underrated on the world stage...If u never lived thru it u can’t imagine how awsome it was ..

I'd take a 1 way ticket back to those live venues with that list of bands on it - or even teh Aussie Made concert series....
