Along with fellow California punk bands Green Day and Rancid, The Offspring have been credited with reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States during the mid-1990s. To date, The Offspring has released eight studio albums, one compilation, four EPs and three DVDs. They have sold over 34 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling punk rock acts of all time. Each album since the release of their 1994 album Smash has sold over a million units.
Since the release of Smash, which is the best-selling independent label album of all time, The Offspring has achieved commercial success over five albums, with singles such as "Come Out and Play", and "Self Esteem". The band’s next three albums, Ixnay on the Hombre, Americana and Conspiracy of One, were also successful, with Ixnay on the Hombre and Conspiracy of One reaching platinum certification, and Americana achieving multi-platinum status. Longtime drummer Ron Welty left The Offspring in early 2003, and was replaced by Atom Willard. Later that year, the band released their next album, Splinter, to moderate sales and fairly warm reviews. In 2005, The Offspring released a greatest hits album and toured in support of the compilation. Their eighth studio album, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace, was released on June 17, 2008 with the hit singles "You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid" and "Hammerhead."
Days Go By is the band’s ninth studio album and is due to be released on June 26, 2012. The Days Go By Songfacts reports that the title track was released as the first single and was premiered on KROQ on April 27, 2012.
2. Offspring was a short-lived English pop duo of the early 1970s, consisting of Mike Brayn and John Howard, who met at Hurstpierpoint College in Sussex, United Kingdom. They released just one single, 'Windfall' (1972). Their planned studio album was never completed.

Defy You
The Offspring Lyrics
You may push me around
But you cannot win
You may throw me down
But I'll rise again
The more you say
The more I defy you
So get out of my face
You cannot stop us
You cannot bring us down
Never give up
We go on and on
You'll never break us
Never bring us down
We are alive!
All my will
All my strength
Rip it out
Start again
The wind blows
I'll lean into the wind
My angle grows
I'll use it to win
The more you say
The more I defy you
So get out of my way
Can you leave it all behind?
Can you leave it all behind?
Cause you can't go back
You can't go back

LA DESCENDENCIA
TE DESAFÍO
LETRA:
Puedes empujarme
Pero no puedes ganar
Puedes derribarme
Pero me levantaré de nuevo
Cuanto más dices
Cuanto más te desafío
Así que sal de mi cara
No puedes detenernos
No puedes derribarnos
No rendirse nunca
Seguimos y seguimos
Nunca nos romperás
Nunca nos derribes
¡Estamos vivos!
El viento sopla
Me inclinaré hacia el viento
Mi rabia crece
Lo usaré para ganar
Cuanto más dices
Cuanto más te desafío
Así que sal de mi camino

I am in my 40s now. I miss being young. I just can not relate to this world anymore. I miss when people at least seemed normal. I miss good music.

I hear you I hear you loud and clear. 🤙 I feel like I can't relate to the world or anyone anymore. Been struggling with wanting to kill myself lately reading this post though reminded me I'm not the only one.

I'm the same age, and I appreciate the younger people who are trying to stand up for those who've historically been sh*t on. What I can't fathom are the hate mongers and the people who just hate anyone who's different or someone who's dealing with something they have no clue about and just prefer to sh*t on them instead of letting people be.

Takes me back to a much simpler time in my life. This band has brought me so much joy I can’t even express what The Offspring has meant to me over the years from my youth till today at age 32.

i'm 34 and i feel your sentiment. i've been into the offspring since pretty fly for a white guy. but that said, i do feel that all their albums since conspiracy of one have all sounded the same, making me feel like it's just become a bit too repetitive.

You are 32. You still young. You are not 60.
