Time Won't Let Me
The Outsiders Lyrics

I can't wait forever
Even though you want me to
I can't wait forever
To know if you'll be true
Time won't let me
Time won't let me
Time won't let me wait too long

Can't you see I've waited too long to love you
To hold you in my arms
Time won't let me
Time won't let me
Time won't let me aw
Oh

I can't wait forever
Even though you want me to
I can't wait forever
To know if you'll be true
Time won't let me
Time won't let me
Time won't let me wait that long
It won't let me wait that long
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)

These guys look they are having the time of their lives! A little self conscious, but that's the charm! "I can't believe we are getting to do this!"

So many great things about this song .......
The vocal harmony stacking at chorus end that melts into the sax and then a trumpet screech.
The clipped lead vocal, in nice contrast to the spread out harmonies.
The wonderfully supportive but understated horn arrangement.
The recurring lead guitar riff during the verses.
The out of control guitar solo.
The double timing drum changeover under the horn riffs during the ending fadeout!
Whoever produced this recording created a real gem!

Thank you thank you thank you,,, one day I heard this on the oldies station in the Salt Lake City area while truck driving and then I heard it everyday I was in the area so finally when I came home to Vegas I also heard it on the oldies station here and finally looked it up, and since it’s the year I was born, it makes it even more special for me…

@jim pearce they had shows like that in England They would have an American Like Roy Orbison with Maybe The Beatles And a few other Lancashire groups doing 30 shows in 20 days. But that gave them.recognition.

I was born in 1963, but I got into classic 1960s rock by the time I was ten and then in middle/high school. I always thought this was a great song—kickass, so to speak. Thank you for sharing your experience. You are awesome!

I was 15 years old when this song played over the airwaves. The 60's was the best music ever....

@Gunnar Prinz Madsen I was 20 when this came out, I’m 76 now and it just popped into my head all of a sudden because I am running out of time. The 60s generation is dropping like flies. was a renaissance of creativity so rock on clear on to the other side💜

Raymond Ortiz

Right on I am 70 now and I still love this kind of music rock on.
