(1) The Outsiders (theoutsiders.eu) were a sixties beat band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Formed in 1960 as a neighbourhood band from Amsterdam East, The Outsiders became one of the most succesful Dutch groups of the 1960s. They made some lastingly great records and never recorded anyone else's material, with singer Wally Tax writing the lyrics and guitarist Ron Splinter the music for nearly all of the twelve 45s and three LPs they made. Other band members included Appie Rammers on bass, Leendert Busch on drums, Ron Splinter on guitar and Tom Krabbendam also on guitar. They are the subject of an official biography written by Jerome Blanes. For more information see the author's website.
(2) The Outsiders is a producer/DJ duo, based in Leiden, The Netherlands, that produces a large variety of sounds and subgenres within Drum & Bass music. The two young friends Jozef van der Veen (also known as Ecepta) and Roeland van Rijnberk (also known as Sorza) have already received support from people like Noisia, NCT, Fre4knc, Monty, SKS, DAYLE and more, with recent releases on Noisia’s labels Division Recordings and Invisible Recordings, as well as SKS’s label Vandal Records. The Outsiders met at school and they have been sharing track ideas with each other since 2013, often resulting in one of them trying to outdo the other. But after three years, the two decided to use each other’s creativity, by making Drum & Bass music together as a duo, which is showing some great results so far. Their music varies from experimental, sound design heavy halftime, to deep, minimal rollers and hard hitting neurofunk.
(3) A US band from Ohio. They started in 1959 as Tom King And The Starfires. After the arrival of the Beatles they changed their sound and changed their name to The Outsiders. Signing to Capitol at the beginning of 1966 their first single Time Won't Let Me was a Number 5 pop hit. They scored 3 more Top Thirty hits that year. Singer Sonny Geraci was later in the band Climax.
(4) American Skinhead band - "The details are a blur... the band started around 1997, I (Duck) was writing a lot of music that wasn't fitting in with the band Squiggy I was playing with. My friend at the time was learning drums so it seemed like a perfect combination. I can work out some of these songs I'm writing and she can practice playing the drums. Who knew it would progress. Luckily my buddy Pat who sang for some other local bands Anotherence and The Sick Boys (who I played in to so I knew he would be perfect) was in-between bands and was interested in what we were doing and then THAT cemented our sound and our dedication to making this an actual band."

Even though you want me to
I can't wait forever
To know if you'll be true
Time won't let me
Time won't let me
Time won't let me wait too long
Can't you see I've waited too long to love you
To hold you in my arms
Time won't let me
Time won't let me
Time won't let me aw
Oh
I can't wait forever
Even though you want me to
I can't wait forever
To know if you'll be true
Time won't let me
Time won't let me
Time won't let me wait that long
It won't let me wait that long
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
(Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait that long)
These lyrics to The Outsiders' song "Time Won't Let Me" express the sentiment of a person who is in love with someone but cannot wait endlessly for them to reciprocate their feelings. The first line of the song "I can't wait forever, even though you want me to" establishes this impatience that the singer feels towards the object of their love. They recognize that the person may want them to hold on and wait for something to happen, but the singer cannot sustain that level of hopefulness forever. The second line "I can't wait forever, to know if you'll be true" emphasizes the need for clarity in this relationship - the singer cannot wait forever to have confirmation that their love interest will be committed to them.
The refrain "Time won't let me" drives the point home that while the singer may want to wait for their love to bloom, the constraints of time dictate that they must act on their feelings soon. They lament that they have "waited too long to love you, to hold you in [their] arms" and that time has gotten the better of them. Throughout the song, the singer is aware that their love may not be reciprocated and shows restraint even when expressing their feelings. In the end, they realize that they cannot wait forever and must act now before it is too late.
Overall, this song captures the feeling of loving someone but being unable to wait endlessly for their feelings to be validated. It highlights the importance of time and recognizes that there are limits to how long one can wait for a relationship to blossom.
