Come On
The Rolling Stones Lyrics

Everything is wrong since me and my baby parted
All day long I'm walkin' 'cause I couldn't get my car started
Laid off from my job and I can't afford to check it
I wish somebody'd come along and run into it and wreck it

Come on, since me and my baby parted
Come on, I can't get started
Come on, I can't afford to check it
I wish somebody'd come along and run into it and wreck it

Everything is wrong since I've been without you
Every night I lay awake thinkin' about you
Every time the phone rings it sounds like thunder
Some stupid guy tryin' to reach another number

Come on, since I've been without you
Come on, always thinkin' about you
Come on, phone sounds like thunder
Some stupid guy tryin' to reach another number

Everything is wrong since I last saw you, baby
I really want to see you and I don't mean maybe
I'm doin' ev'rything tryin' to make you see
That I belong to you, hon, and you belong to me

Come on, I want to see you, baby
Come on, I don't mean maybe
Come on, I'm tryin' to make you see
That I belong to you and you belong to me

Come on, I gotta see you, baby
Come on, I don't mean maybe
Come on, I've gotta make you see
That I belong to you and you belong to me

Come on, come on
Come on, come on

The brilliance of Brian on harmonica. Almost like a "second vocalist". It really wails during the bridge. Sounds like he was really enjoying himself and loving every second.

Lovely harp playing on this

flimbambo

Wow. Never heard this. Jones sounds fantastic on harp. They didn’t play this song much live so this is a gem!

Tony Lombardi

Their first single, a Chuck Berry cover released 1963. It charted well in the U.K. at #20 but didn't enter the top 100 in the U.S.

Jared Craver

My favorite harmonica of any song ive ever heard, love this so much

I don’t know if you like “outlaw country” but there’s a fantastic old documentary called Heartworn Highways and there’s a section they filmed in a recording studio with an artist and some studio musicians and one of them plays some amazing harmonica. If you liked this it’s worth checking out just for that.

The first record I ever bought. Saw them a year latter (‘64) at Stockton Odeon. They played this and were brilliant !

❤ Id give anything for a chance to see the Stones in a small club playing old stuff.

Me too, I'm living in Devon so I would be really lucky.
