The Studio Sound Ensemble record re-imagined versions of popular hits.
Their version of Beatles' Got To Get You Into My Life, is often played on the Iain Lee show on Absolute Radio in the UK as a music-bed. Iain tends to perform karaoke over the top, either as an intro to the next call or a segué between songs. Iain also uses other examples of their work as music-beds.

A10tYe Thanks for your message! Dick Johnson on Alto sax solo on the Buddy Morrow recording? heck of a player! I never got to play with any of these guys because I was never good enough-and, I live in the UK. In my eighties now, and still love listening to the greats of my time and today. Thank you for going to the trouble of finding the name of the great sax player (Dick Johnson) playing that fabulous solo on one of Buddy's records.

Hello Leslie. It's wonderful to be a trombonist , retired or otherwise. I didn't get very far playing but it changed my life when it mattered. Rewards are forever. My Email isn't consistent as I can't find your message and question re Buddy Morrow's sax man on my laptop. So I'm replying here as my social skills are very basic - OK by me. Only credit provided - alto solos by Dick Johnson. Do you him? Guess you've "been around'? Luckily his album survived my many styluses and abuse.
